Our Vendors Throughout our journey we have found many names, companies, and services. Using recommendations and a lot of research (we started with 86 reception locations) the following are the vendors we selected. We encourage you to look into them if you need any of these services in the future. |
Ceremony Location |
All Saints' Episcopal Church |
This one actually required no research. The church has had a long standing history with the Dunkelbarger and Nasif families. Gail's sister and brother-in-law were married there (Joy and Brent Reed), as well as Gail's parents (Jim and Marie Dunkelbarger). In addition, Gail's grandfather (Abraham Nasif) had his ashes spread in the garden at the church. The church was exceptionally kind and supportive during the time of need. In fact, father Tom Davidson (our clergy) spent time at the hospital and was there through it all. |

Reception Location |
A Different Pointe Of View-Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs |
As noted above, we started with 86 possible reception locations. After filtering them out, calling dozens, and visiting about eight of them, we settled on the Different Pointe Of View for our reception. Poised 1800 feet above the valley, it provides breathtaking views which we will all be able to enjoy. We have reserved the lounge and the terrace exclusively for our wedding and with the help of our event coordinator there, Nicole, we expect to have a beautiful evening. |

Remember The Day Photography |
Having just completed Jonathan's sister's wedding (Mike and Kimberly Vigil), the recommendation came from them to use Remember The Day Photography and Christina Vasseur. We contacted Christina early on in our planning, and she graciously agreed to reserve our date. Although her package pricing was changing, she stated she would match the pricing used for Mike and Kimberly's wedding. |

Ice Sculptures |
Innovative Ice |
Sometimes arguably more the bride in the relationship, Jonathan had been planning his wedding for a long time. It was in this process that he had convinced himself that he wanted an ice sculpture at the wedding. There are less than a half-dozen companies in the valley that perform this service, and with a few steps of research, phone calls, and ultimately a face-to-face visit, we settled upon Innovative Ice. Owned by a couple running this as their own business, the location in Mesa was very discreet (an industrial park). However, once you walked into the freezer and saw the blocks of ice, ice bars, sculptures and computer system running everything we were all set. The problem ultimately became limiting ourselves to a realistic budget, as at that point, we wanted it all. |

Rehearsal Dinner |
Paradise Bakery |
As a place that both Jonathan and Gail visited numerous times while in Phoenix, Paradise Bakery provides only the freshest and most delicious of items. The specific location selected for the rehearsal dinner is located in Gainey Ranch in Scottsdale. The location provides a segregated room for our private use. There will be a chocolate fountain flowing with strawberries, bananas, as well as with the Paradise Bakery Chippers (little versions of their cookies) and other items. It has a projector in the front of the room as well as a flat-panel TV in the corner which will be of use to us that day. |
Chocolate Fountain |
Paradise Bakery |
Similar to the one used at the rehearsal dinner, the chocolate fountain used at the wedding reception will be a little bit larger, but will still have the same dipping items available. With an attendant always present to make sure the fountain looks it's best, we're sure you'll be back for more! |
Disc Jockey |
A Solid Gold Sound |
We got lucky that Jonathan's sister, Jessica, got married a few months back, so we were able to try the DJ out before we committed! He did a great job, and we look forward to seeing him again. |
Videography |
A Solid Gold Sound |
We opted to go with a package-deal, not only because it was more cost-effective, but also because we were able to see the videography work previously. We'll be filming with two cameras all day long, to ensure we have plenty of footage with which to edit. |
